What to expect
The successful candidate will pursue the Ph.D program at the WU Department of Information Systems and Operations Management. Your main duties include research, teaching, and administrative tasks.
- Building research skills: You will conduct an independent empirical research project in the area of Sustainable Supply Chain Management.
- Writing a dissertation: Based on this research, you will write a cumulative dissertation. During this process, you will receive regular and substantive feedback and support from Prof. Wilhelm, the first supervisor of your dissertation. You can use a third of your working hours for writing this dissertation.
- Teaching and Supervision: Expect to help planning and creating courses, supporting teaching activities at WU.
- Organizational and administrative support: You will support general tasks, especially related to the set-up of both the team as well as research and teaching activities.
What you have to offer
We are looking for a highly motivated applicant with strong analytical skills with an interest in carrying out scientific research projects. To qualify you should have:
- Academic degree: A diploma/master’s degree in Business Administration (preferably with a specialization in Operations and Supply Chain Management) with excellent grades that qualifies you for enrollment in a doctoral program at WU.
- International experience: During your degree program or in a professional context.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English.
- Willingness to use multimedia teaching methods: You have experience in using multimedia teaching and learning formats or are at least willing to learn.
- Working Style: Good interpersonal skills and ability to work individually and with a team, organizational qualities and excellent communication skills.

The minimum monthly gross salary amounts to €2,832.08 (14 times per year). This salary may be adjusted based on job-related prior work experience. In addition, we offer a wide range of attractive social benefits.
